Dave Murphy (Republican Party) is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing District 56. He assumed office on January 7, 2013. His current term ends on January 4, 2027.

Elections for all 99 seats in the Wisconsin State Assembly took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 12, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 2, 2014. Incumbent Dave Murphy was unopposed in the Republican primary. Diana Lawrence (D) was removed from the ballot before the primary. Murphy was unopposed in the general election,[5][6] and was re-elected for another term.[7]
