A Davenport City Amendment 2: City Manager Removal proposition was approved on the April 2, 2013 election ballot in Polk County, which is in Florida.
This measure amended the Davenport City Charter to allow the affirmative vote of a simple majority of three City Commissioners to remove the City Manager instead of 4 out of the 5 commissioners as was previously required.[1]

| “ | Davenport City Manager May Be Removed By A Simple Majority Vote of Three Commission Members.
The current Davenport Charter requires an affirmative vote of at least four (4) of the five (5) members (a super majority) of the Commission to remove the City Manager. Should the Charter be amended to read that an affirmative vote of at least three of the five members (a simple majority) of the Commission is needed to remove the Manager. |
