David A. Cheney

David A. Cheney is a judge on the Allen County Court of Common Pleas in Lima, Ohio. Cheney was elected to the court in November 2012 and began his full six-year term on January 1, 2013. His term expired on December 31, 2018.[1]
Education
Cheney received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University in 1971 and his J.D. from the Ohio Northern University in 1974.[2]
Career
Cheney worked as a juvenile court referee (now known as a magistrate) for the Juvenile Division of the Lima Municipal Court from 1973 until 1990. He then practiced law in the private sector until 2008 when he returned to the Lima Municipal Court as a full-time magistrate.[2][3]
2012 election
Cheney was elected to court after running unopposed for election on November 6, 2012.[4][5]
