I'm a retired business software developer and consultant. I live on Capitol Hill and enjoy skiing at Copper Mountain about 20 days a year.
  • Improve our education system by implementing vouchers for independent teachers.
  • Reduce crime by more criminals off the streets. Make stealing a gun of any value a felony instead of a misdemeanor.
  • Reduce regulation so more people can pursue their dreams.
I listen to people, I'm cautious about new ideas and well aware of Murphy's law.
I've read "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" and "Starship Troopers" by Robert Heinlein several times. More recent books: Tulsi Gabbard's "For Love of Country, Leave the Democrat Party Behind"; Thomas Sowell's "Social Justice Fallacies" and "Basic Economics".
Yes, it takes 33 votes in the House, 18 votes in the Senate, and the Governor's signature to pass legislation.
As little as possible and with explicit boundaries.
Educational Vouchers for Indpeendent Teachers. Colorado spends about $8,500 per student. Teacher salaries are about $60,000 per year. To educate 10 students, Colorado spends $85,000 per year. A $30,000 voucher for the Teacher, and $3,000 vouchers each for a minimum of 10 students is $60,000 and would save the state $2,500 per student or $25,000 for 10 students per year. Teachers could accept more students at $3,000 each.
