David L. Baker was a justice on the Iowa Supreme Court. He was appointed to the court in 2008 by Governor Chet Culver and his term expired on December 31, 2010.[1]
2010 election

Baker stood for retention in 2010.[2] He was not retained, with 54.19 percent of the vote going to "No".[3]
Education
Baker received his bachelor's degree in 1975 and his J.D. in 1979, both from the University of Iowa.[1]
Professional career
He worked in private practice until Governor Tom Vilsack appointed Baker to the district court in 2004. He was next appointed to the Court of Appeals Sixth District in 2006. He served in this position until his appointment to the court in 2008.[1][4][5]
