David Baker Sr.
David Baker Sr. (Democratic Party) is a judge for District 10B Seat 1 of the North Carolina 10th Judicial District. He assumed office on June 7, 2019. His current term ends on December 31, 2026.
Baker (Democratic Party) is running for re-election for the District 10B Seat 1 judge of the North Carolina 10th Judicial District. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 3, 2026. The Democratic primary for this office on March 3, 2026, was canceled.
Baker was appointed by Democratic Governor Roy Cooper in 2019 to fill a vacancy following Judge Craig Croom's appointment as a special superior court judge to fill a vacant seat.[1][2]

Education
David Baker Sr. received his bachelor's degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D. from the North Carolina Central School of Law.[1]
Career
Baker's career experience includes working as a principal attorney at the Law Office of David K. Baker and as a staff attorney for Legal Aid of North Carolina. Baker has served as a vice chairman for the Wake County Bar Association Membership Services Committee and the Raleigh Area Development Authority, and as a chairman for the African-American Cultural Festival of Raleigh and Wake County.[1]
