David Bieter
David Bieter was the Mayor of Boise in Idaho. Bieter assumed office in 2004. Bieter left office in 2020.
Bieter ran for re-election for Mayor of Boise in Idaho. Bieter lost in the general runoff election on December 3, 2019.
Before becoming mayor, Bieter was the Democratic representative of District 19 in the Idaho House of Representatives from 1999 to 2003. Bieter was initially appointed to that office when his father, who had previously held the seat, died in an automobile accident.[1]
Biography
Bieter was born on November 1, 1959, in Boise, Idaho. He earned a B.A. in international studies from The College of St. Thomas and a J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law. His professional experience includes working as an attorney and civil prosecutor in Ada County.[1]

In the mayoral race, incumbent David Bieter defeated Seth M. Holden and Judy M. Peavey-Derr in the general election on November 3, 2015. Myron L. Gilbert originally filed for the race but withdrew in September 2015.[6][7][8]
