“I’m David Blewett. I’m a Conservative Republican running for Congress in the 32nd District. I am committed to focusing on solutions and not sound bites. While staying true to my conservative principles, I will work to find common ground to solve issues like the border and immigration, strengthening our economy with better jobs and lower taxes, combating terrorism, and meeting head-on the real threats by Russia, China, and Iran.”
  • I am the only candidate that can flip the seat back to Republicans.
  • I am the only candidate that has been elected (Dallas City Council) and has proven experience solving problems through collaboration and persuasion.
  • I will remember where I’m from and represent every voice in our District fairly back to D.C.
Infrastructure improvement, fiscal accountability and Border security.
Ronald Reagan. Eternally optimistic about America’s future. Never held a grudge regardless of how vicious politics got.
An ability to respect and work with all constituents and colleagues. Otherwise there’s just a lot of yelling.
He was always respectful and fair which meant he was trusted and able to solve problems.
Cattle Ranch. $10 per day and all I could eat. Branding cows. Building barbed wire fencing. Working out for HS football. Two summers during high school. Got big and became a college football player.
The Fountainhead. Its shorter and better than Atlas Shrugged.
Gladiator. Maximus Decimus Meridius as portrayed by Russel Crowe.
“By Mennen”…Seinfeld episode. Decades later. Still pops in my head and cracks me up.
Raising 7 kids and being self employed and then trying to make this place better for others who struggle.
The learning curve to be a Representative is steep. 2 years is not enough time to learn the job…and do it. Previous experience is critical. I have that experience from previous elected representation.
Globalism. Our jobs and our wealth as a nation are eroding as other nations eat into our competitiveness. Border Security. Uncontrolled border leads to increased drugs, crime, violence and unsustainable tax on our system. Diversity. We are going to have to get better understanding, respecting and assimilating the diverse cultures that are in our country.
No. 3 years is better. Two years to do job. One year to campaign etc.
No. It’s up to us to term out representation that is ineffective. There should be a limit on special interest money though which unfairly benefits incumbents.
A horse walks into a bar…
Oversight is critical in light of the corruption that has infected our system.
Transportation. Energy. Foreign Affairs.
