David Wiggins was a judge of the Fourth Circuit Court in Florida. He was appointed to this position in 1988. He was re-elected in 2012 but announced his retirement in 2015. His successor, Judge Gary Wilkinson, was appointed in August 2015.[1][2][3]

Education

Wiggins received his B.S. degree from Florida State University in 1968 and his J.D. degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1972. He was admitted to the bar in 1972.[1][4]

Career

Wiggins has worked as a private practice lawyer since 1972. He is also a former assistant attorney. From 1982 through 1987, he was a judge for the Duval County Court. He then joined the circuit court in 1988.[1]

2012 election

Wiggins was unopposed and automatically re-elected to the Fourth Circuit Court following the primary election on August 14, 2012.[5][6]
