David Chase Callahan (b. June 25, 1985) was a 2015 Democratic candidate for District 33 of the Mississippi State Senate.

Callahan has been Third Congressional District Director and Jewish Caucus Chair of the Young Democrats of Mississippi, Chair of the Lauderdale County Young Democrats and a member of the Lauderdale County Democratic Party and the Mississippi Stonewall Democrats.[1]

Biography

Callahan attended the University of Southern Mississippi, studied Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management at Jefferson State Community College, and earned associate's and bachelor's degrees from East Mississippi Community College and the University of West Alabama, respectively.[1]

Elections for the Mississippi State Senate took place in 2015. A primary election was held on August 4, 2015, and the general election was held on November 3, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[2] Chase Callahan was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Videt Carmichael was unopposed in the Republican primary. Carmichael defeated Callahan in the general election.
