George Pataki presidential campaign, 2016
On May 28, 2015, George Pataki announced his presidential bid via a video posted on his campaign website, before speaking to a crowd of supporters in New Hampshire.[6][7]
As of June 2015, the campaign had not announced any staff hirings. However, Catalfamo acted as Pataki's spokesperson during the exploratory phase. In December 2014, Catalfamo told The Observer: "Right now, [Mr. Pataki’s] been focussed [sic] on what he sees going wrong on a national level. He believes the party needs to energize and focus on those core issues. Fundamental change in the ways that Washington has encroached into the lives of Americans."[8]
Pataki suspended his presidential run on December 29, 2015.[9]
