Chong highlighted the following issues on his campaign website:
| “ | As a father with children in the district, PTA Board Member and former PTA President, I was very excited when current LMSVSD Board Member Bill Baber personally encouraged me to run in this election. My wife and I have been leaders and volunteers in LMSV School District throughout the time our three children have attended school here. Our service has ranged from PTA at the school and District levels to serving on the District Advisory Council and other committees.
I believe strongly in the mission and capabilities of our District. Our oldest child has launched from LMSVSD and gone on to earn top honors in high school. She currently attends SDSU on scholarship, where she enrolled as a Sophomore in her first year thanks to her AP credits earned in high school. Her success is a product of the education she received in our schools. With your vote, I wish to support our academic programs, ensure our community's children are prepared for the modern world through the integration of technology in the classroom, provide for their safety and security at school, foster greater family involvement, support and empower our excellent staff, and do all of this with the utmost fiscal responsibility. Thank you for trusting me with your vote in November.[2] |
