Crowley's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[11]
Education
- Excerpt: "By investing in early childhood education we can touch the lives of all youth and lay a better foundation of learning for our children before reaching school age."
Public safety
- Excerpt: "The city has too many foreclosure homes that are in disrepair. We need to to [sic] strategically invest in a foreclosed home that could benefit as a Safe house. Safe houses are renovated homes that act as a resource center in neighborhoods."
Health
- Excerpt: "Health is a state of complete physical and mental well-being, and this is why it is essential we bring quality, community health programs into our inner-city. That is also why I am dedicated to investing more dollars into our public health department, and creating partnerships with healthcare providers and community health programs to provide much needed services in the 7th District."
Minimum wage
- Excerpt: "We need to raise the minimum wage and we need to do it now . . . If we’re going to spend dollars to build and sharpen the skills of a robust workforce, we need the commitment of ALL employers to invest in people by paying a decent, living wage."

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
