Biography

David Dixon was born in eastern North Carolina and lives in Garner. Dixon graduated from Manteo High School in 2000. Dixon earned an undergraduate degree from Campbell University in 2004 and a master's degree in international studies from North Carolina State University in 2006. His career experience includes working in higher education at North Carolina State University.[1]

Born and raised in eastern North Carolina, David Dixon is a lifelong resident of the Old North State. Having a distilled heritage from previous generations of farmers, mill workers, share croppers, military service members, entrepreneurs and educators, his background parallels many an American story in the upward mobility of the rising middle-class. Earning an undergraduate degree from Campbell University in 2004 and a graduate degree from NC State University in 2006, his professional experience includes international education while his community involvement includes membership in the McCuller’s Ruritan Club, volunteerism at the YMCA and feeding missions through the NC Baptists on Mission, Disaster Relief.
