Biography

David Dow was born in Portland, Oregon. Dow earned an associate degree from Bellevue Community College in 1998 and a bachelor's degree from Central Washington University in 2001. His career experience includes working as a high school math teacher. Dow has also worked for a remodeling company and as an electrician.[1]

I am a constitutional Christian involved in the Palo Alto Republican party. I am Pro Life, Pro Medical Freedom and Pro American Education. My wife Rebecca and I have been married for 22 years; we have 5 children ages 10 through 21 and live in Emmetsburg where I currently teach high school math.
  • Education: I support K12 choice.
  • Freedom: People should be able to make their own medical decisions.

The public education system should be promoting an America First curriculum. Parents should have choices to where their children are educated.

Our legislators should focus on protecting the rights of the citizens, and not allow the citizens to be coerced into medical interventions.
Limited government is a crucial element for economic growth for farmers and business owners.

We should be devoting more resources to ending human trafficking.

My first job was working on cars, mostly doing oil changes. I worked there for a couple of years part-time while taking classes at a community college.
Yes, it is beneficial. However, discernment and principles are more important. It also necessary to know how government and politics work.
As a teacher, education committee would be a natural fit. I would also like to be in a government committee to help push through a comprehensive medical freedom bill.
Absolutely, emergency powers are for tornadoes or earthquakes. The governor can have 2 weeks of emergency powers. After that, the legislature should be actively involved.
Yes, compromise is necessary. However, it is not desirable on moral issues.
