David Duffy
David Duffy was a Minnesota Fourth Judicial District judge for Hennepin County, Minnesota. He was appointed to this position in 1987 and was elected to full terms in 1988, 1994, 2000 and 2006. He retired in the fall of 2012.[1]
Education
Duffy received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Villanova University in 1969 and 1972.[2]
Career
Duffy began his legal career in 1975 as a sole practitioner in the private practice of law. In 1977, he became and Assistant Public Defender for Hennepin County. He worked in the litigation department of this office until 1984 and in the appellate department until 1987, when he was appointed to the District Court. He is a member of the Fourth Judicial District Executive Committee.[2]
