David R. Duncan is the chief judge for the United States bankruptcy court, District of South Carolina. He was appointed to the court on May 26, 2006. He was reappointed to a second term, effective May 26, 2020. Duncan was elevated to the position of chief judge on March 1, 2013.[1][2]
Education
Duncan received his undergraduate and J.D. from the University of South Carolina.[3]
Career
From 1980 to 1991, Duncan worked in private practice. From 1991 to 2006, he was the regional assistant United States trustee for Region 4 until his appointed as bankruptcy judge on May 26, 2006.[4]
