David E. Ackerson was a Sixth Judicial District judge for St. Louis County, Minnesota. He was appointed to the St. Louis County Court on January 4, 1982, and he assumed his current office in 1986. He was elected to full terms in 1990, 1996, 2002 and 2008.[1] He was re-elected in 2014.[2] Ackerson retired in June 2018.[3]

Education

Ackerson received his B.A. degree from the University of St. Thomas in 1971 and his J.D. degree from the William Mitchell College of Law in 1976.[1]

Career

Prior to his judicial appointment, Ackerson worked as a private practice lawyer.[1]
