David E. Seaman

David E. Seaman was a judge for the Niagara County Family Court in New York. He was appointed to this position in 2002 and was elected to a full term the following year. His term ended in 2011.[1]
Education
Seaman received his B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1963 and his J.D. degree from the University of Georgetown Law Center in 1967.[1]
Career
Seaman began his career in 1967 as a general practice attorney and he worked in this position until his judicial appointment in 2002. He also served in the public sector. From 1969 to 1971, he was a part-time Assistant Public Defender of Niagara County and, from 1971 to 1978, he served mostly part-time as an Assistant District Attorney of that county. He then served as an town attorney of Royalton, NY until 1995. During this time, from 1980 to 1994, he was also a law clerk of the Niagara County Court. He also served briefly as a Hearing Examiner of the Family Court in 1985. He joined the legislature as a member of the New York State Assembly in 1995. He served there until his appointment to the Family Court in 2002.
