I am a firefighter/medic and have been for the last 22 years. I have spent the last 10 years in roles leading others. In my current duties I am responsible for overseeing several projects and programs. I set the goals for these projects and programs and then oversee the resources to carry them out. On emergency scenes I have to gather information quickly, prioritize that information, and formulate an action plan to solve whatever the problem is. I know how to research a problem, develop a solution, and carry out a plan of action.

I am a graduate of Whitehall Yearling High School and have an AAS degree in Fire Science from Columbus State Community College. I also hold various fire and EMS related job certifications.

I am married to my wife of almost 6 years. We both grew up in Whitehall. It is just home to us. I also have 2 adult children.
  • Work to update our roads and infrastructure.

Our roads and infrastructure are in poor condition. The water and sewer lines are very old and fail regularly.

This is regardless of the time of year or environmental conditions. We are beginning the work to improve some of the infrastructure, but we need to make sure that adequate maintenance plans and road replacement schedules are in place. If we don't, we will be back in this position again in another 10-20 years. We also need to add more sidewalks in parts of the community that don't currently have sidewalks. I would like to see us work on adding bicycle lanes as well. This will help make Whitehall a safer and more walkable community.
  • Promote fiscal responsibility. With the rising cost of everything we need to make sure that we are being responsible with our money now more than ever. We need to continue to work toward providing city services more efficiently.
  • Government transparency and accessibility. We need to make sure that we are being upfront, honest, and transparent with our citizens. The citizens of Whitehall deserve answers to question in a timely manner.
Public services.
We need to make sure that our public services are keeping pace with the needs of the community. I believe that we should be proactive in anticipating future needs and making sure that we are in position to meet those needs. I'm thinking about our safety services like fire/EMS and police. I'm also thinking about other services like public works, parks and rec, and code/zoning enforcement.
I believe that integrity and commitment are the most important characteristics that an elected official should have.

You need to be committed to serving the citizens of your community. The citizens and their best interests are what should be the driving force behind every decision you make. You need to be committed to actively listening to the voice of the citizens and involve them in the process of governing. You need to be committed to maintaining your integrity.

Integrity and honesty I tend to use interchangeably. I think it goes without saying, but yon need to always be honest with the citizens that you service. If I do not know an answer to a question, I will let you know. I will also be committed to working hard to find the answer to your question. I may not always have answers, but I know people that do.
I'm the best candidate for Whitehall Ward 2 because I have the leadership experience and community focus this ward needs. With 10 years of proven leadership, I've successfully led teams, organized programs, and brought people together to get things done. I don't just talk about solutions-I take action.

I know how to make tough decisions, build consensus, and turn ideas into results. Whether it's improving infrastructure, managing resources wisely, or navigating complex issues, I have the skills and mindset to deliver for our community.

I believe in fiscal responsibility, transparent communication, and putting people first. I've spent the last decade making systems work better for everyone and I'm ready to bring that same energy, focus, and integrity to City Council.

I'm not running to push my own agenda. I'm running to represent yours.
Simply, "Leave it better than you found it." Make a difference.
Probably the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster in 1986. I was 9 years old at the time.
My first job was as a customer service clerk at Big Bear grocery stores. I worked in food retail for approximately 10 years in various positions. I eventually became an assistance store manager before making a career change to the fire service. Probably the most important thing I learned during my time in retail was how to talk to and deal with other people. Both customers and subordinates. Actively listening to them and showing empathy for their individual situation. Also the problem solving/resolution skills as well.
