The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 25, 2014. Incumbent Steve Archambault defeated David Fasteson in the Democratic primary, while Hasan Alsawaf was unopposed in the Republican primary. Archambault defeated Alsawaf in the general election.[1][2][3]
