David Gordon Massamore is a judge of the 4th District Court, which serves Hopkins County in Kentucky. He was elected in 2014 to a term that commences on January 5, 2015, and expired on January 6, 2019. [1]

Massamore was to have faced Shaun C. McEntire in the general election; however, McEntire withdrew from the race in September 2014 and Massamore was elected without opposition.[2]

Massamore ran for election to the 4th District Court.
Primary: He was successful in the primary on May 20, 2014, receiving 49.2 percent of the vote. He competed against Randall Hardesty and Shaun C. McEntire.
General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. Though the race is nonpartisan, Massamore identifies himself as a Democrat. [3][4] Though the race is nonpartisan, Massamore identifies himself as a Democrat.[5][2] 

Education

Massamore graduated from the Cumberland School of Law in 1975.[5]

Career

Prior to his judicial election in 2014, Massamore worked as an attorney, thirty of which were spent as a prosecutor. He is also a former special domestic relations commissioner.[5]
