Education
David Goodsell received his A.B. degree from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill in 1977 and his J.D. degree from St. John's University School of Law in 1980. He then worked as an Assistant District Attorney for King's County. After this, he worked as a partner for various New York law firms: First Wortman, Fumuso, Kelly, DeVerna & Snyder; then Abbate, Goodsell, Lawrence & Worden, P.C.; and then Baron & Goodsell.[2] He was elected to the Nassau County District Court in 2008.[1]

Goodsell ran unsuccessfully for election to the New York Supreme Court 10th Judicial District on November 8. He received 8.35 percent of the vote, failing to secure one of the 10 positions on the ballot for that court.[3][4][5]
