I am Rev. David W. Greene Sr., a husband, father, senior pastor, educator, and community advocate. For more than two decades, I have served as the Senior Pastor of Purpose of Life Ministries in Indianapolis, where faith and action go hand in hand. I also founded Purpose of Life Academy, a nationally accredited early childhood academy serving infants through first grade, because I believe strong communities begin with strong foundations for our children.

Beyond the pulpit, I serve as President of the Concerned Clergy of Indianapolis, where I work alongside faith leaders and community partners to address housing instability, mental health stigma, public education, and economic inequality.

My life’s work has centered on restoring dignity, expanding opportunity, and building bridges across communities. Whether advocating at the Statehouse, organizing neighborhood initiatives, or mentoring young leaders, I believe leadership is about service. I am running for State Senate because families deserve affordability, access, and accountability, and because public service should reflect the values of integrity, collaboration, and courage.
  • Affordability First: Hoosier families are working harder than ever, but too many are still struggling to keep up. My campaign begins with one simple commitment: Affordability First. That means lowering the cost of childcare, healthcare, housing, and everyday essentials. It means protecting taxpayers, opposing policies that shift the burden onto working families, and investing in solutions that strengthen middle-class stability. The government should make life more manageable, not more expensive. I will fight for practical policies that give families breathing room and a real path forward.
  • Public Education is a Public Promise: Public education is not a partisan issue; it is a public promise. As a pastor and founder of a nationally accredited early childhood academy, I have seen firsthand the power of high-quality education. I support fully funding public schools, expanding access to early childhood education, supporting teachers, and protecting local control. Our tax dollars should strengthen neighborhood schools, not weaken them. When we invest in strong public education, we invest in workforce development, economic growth, and the future of our state.
  • Smart Growth Without Sacrifice: Growth is coming to our communities, but it must be smart, transparent, and responsible. Smart Growth Without Sacrifice means welcoming economic development while protecting neighborhoods, natural resources, and taxpayers. We must ensure infrastructure keeps pace, safeguard places like Eagle Creek, and demand accountability from developers and state leaders. Growth should not raise utility bills, strain schools, or undermine quality of life. I will advocate for balanced development that expands opportunity while preserving the character and stability of our communities.
I am passionate about policies that strengthen families and restore dignity. As a pastor and founder of a nationally accredited early childhood academy, I care deeply about public education and expanding access to affordable, high-quality childcare. I am committed to housing stability, healthcare that treats the whole person, and practical solutions to mental health challenges. I also strongly believe in protecting voting rights, defending democracy, and ensuring that government is transparent and accountable. For me, public policy is about real families and real opportunities to thrive.
Our campaign is building strong momentum across District 29. I am proud to be endorsed by proven leaders, including State Senator Fady Qaddoura, State Representative Gregory Porter, Prosecutor Ryan Mears, Trustee Annette Johnson, and City County Councilor Jesse Brown.

In addition, we are supported by a growing coalition of clergy, educators, neighborhood leaders, and working families who believe in our Affordability First vision. This broad, diverse support reflects a campaign rooted in community, accountability, and real solutions for Hoosiers.
