David Grimes
David Grimes was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 77 of the Alabama House of Representatives.
Grimes was a Republican member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 73 from 2002 to 2010.
Biography
Grimes' professional experience includes working as a Registered Representative with Princor Financial Corporation.
He serves as Deacon at Trinity Presbyterian Church and is a member of Lifeline Children's Services Incorporated Board, Montgomery Lions Club, Young Men's Christian Association Camp Chandler Board, Montgomery Rotary Club and Board Member/President of the Garden District Homeowners Association and Colverdale Homeowners Association.[1]

Elections for the Alabama House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014; a runoff election took place where necessary on July 15, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Incumbent John Knight was unopposed in the Democratic primary. David Grimes was unopposed in the Republican primary. Knight defeated Grimes in the general election.[2][3][4][5][6]

2010
Grimes lost his re-election bid to the 73rd District seat in 2010. He defeated Jeremy Walker in the primary. He was defeated by Joseph Lister Hubbard in the November 2 general election.[7][8]

On November 7, 2006, Grimes was re-elected to the 73rd District Seat in the Alabama House of Representatives, defeating opponent Larry A. Grewelle (D).[9]
