David Guinn

Ballotpedia provides comprehensive election coverage of the 100 largest cities in America by population as well as mayoral, city council, and district attorney election coverage in state capitals outside of the 100 largest cities. This judge is outside of that coverage scope and does not receive scheduled updates.
David Guinn is a district court judge for the 67th District Court in Michigan. He was appointed by Gov. Rick Snyder (R) on May 4, 2017, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Tracy Collier-Nix. Guinn's seat was up for election in November 2018 because he was appointed in the middle of Collier-Nix's term.[1]
Biography
Guinn earned his bachelor's degree from Grand Valley State University and his J.D. from Ohio Northern University. At the time of his appointment to the bench, he was an assistant prosecutor for Genesee County. His experience also includes work as a law clerk for Becker Lanctot McCutcheon and service with the Alpha Esquires mentoring program and Youth Leadership Institute.[1]
