David Guy (New York)

David H. Guy is a surrogate of the Broome County Surrogate's Court in New York. He has served in this position since 2011, following his election. He replaced Eugene E. Peckham, who retired in 2010. Guy's current term expires in 2020.[1][2]
Education
Guy received his B.S. degree from the University of Rochester in 1978 and his J.D. degree from the Albany Law School of Union University in 1986. Prior to his legal career, he worked as a combustion engineer for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft (1978-1981( and as a commodities broker for Thomson McKinnon Sec. (1981-1983).[1]
Career
Guy began worked as an attorney for the law firm of Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP (specializing in estate planning and administration cases) from 1986 until his judicial election in 2010. He took office on the Surrogate's Court in 2011.[1][3]
