David Hardy
David Hardy is a judge for Department 15 of the Nevada 2nd Judicial District Court. He assumed office in 2005. His current term ends on January 4, 2027.
Hardy ran for re-election for the Department 15 judge of the Nevada 2nd Judicial District Court. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Biography
Education
Hardy received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University. He earned his J.D. degree from the Brigham Young University Law School in 1993. He received a master's degree in judicial studies from the University of Nevada in 2008.[1][2]
Career
Hardy served as a judge for the Family Division of the Second Judicial District Court from January 2005 until his election to the General Division of the court in 2010. Prior to his judicial career, Hardy was a partner at the Law Firm of Hardy & Woodman in Reno, Nevada. He also served as a law clerk for the Nevada Supreme Court and as the principal staff attorney for the Nevada Supreme Court from 1996 to 1999.[1]

Primary: He was elected without opposition in the primary on June 10, 2014.[3][4]
2010

The Nevada legislature passed a bill calling for the addition of one seat to the Second District, which was not to be filled by a judge of the family court. Hardy was elected to this seat after running unopposed.[5]
