Primary: He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on March 4, 2014.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 30.2 percent of the vote. He competed against Margaret Ellen Barnes.

Education
Heiman received his undergraduate degree in business management from North Texas State University, and his J.D. from Texas Tech School of Law in 1989.[4]
Career
Heiman is an attorney at the Heiman Law Firm. He has been in private practice since graduating law school.[4]
