David Hermerding is a judge for the Ninth Judicial District in Aitkin County, Minnesota. He was appointed to this position by Gov. Mark Dayton (D) on February 1, 2017.[1]

Hermerding earned his B.A. from St. John's University and his J.D. from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law.[1]

At the time of his appointment to the bench, Hermerding was the chief deputy county attorney for Crow Wing County. His professional experience also includes work as an assistant district attorney for Crow Wing County, a managing and staff attorney for the Ninth District public defender's office, and a partner at the firm Mitchell & Hermerding.[1]
