David Homer
David R. Homer was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. He was appointed to this position in 1995 and retired from the court on August 31, 2012.[1][2]
Early life and education
Judge Homer received his B.A. degree from Brown University in 1969 and his J.D. degree from Syracuse University in 1975.[2]
Professional career
Judge Homer began his career in 1975 as a trial attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. In 1979, he became an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York. He worked in the Albany office of this court until his judicial appointment in 1995. He became the supervisor of this office in 1982 and the head of the Criminal Division in 1992.[2]
