The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 22, 2014. David Lillis was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Bradford Jacobsen defeated John Reilly in the Republican primary. Jacobsen defeated Lillis in the general election.[5][6][7][8]
