David Johnson is a judge on the 26th Circuit Court in Alabama. The position was previously held by his father, former Judge Albert L. Johnson.[1][2]
David Johnson was elected in November 2014 to the 26th Circuit Court.[3] Johnson's term expires on January 17, 2021.[4]

Johnson defeated opponent L. Joel Collins in the Democratic primary for the Russell County District Court with 66 percent of the vote.[6] He was re-elected to the Russell County District Court after running unopposed in the general election, earning 100 percent of the vote.[1]
