David Johnson (Republican Party) is running for election to the South Dakota State Senate to represent District 33. He declared candidacy for the Republican primary scheduled on June 2, 2026.[source]

Johnson (Republican Party) was a member of the South Dakota State Senate, representing District 33. He assumed office on January 12, 2021. He left office on January 14, 2025.

Biography

David Johnson served in the U.S. Navy. Johnson earned a degree from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and an M.B.A. from the University of South Dakota.[1] His career experience includes owning Johnson Tree Company.[2]
