David is a wonderful husband, father of 5, and grandfather of 6. He is a hard worker, committed to serving the community by volunteering, delivering meals, food banks, cleanups, loves sports, coaching thousands of children over the years. Worked for over 37 years and pays his taxes. He is the guy next door, who will take the common sense approach to accomplish any tasks that he takes on! He is not under the thumb of any big business or corporations...he will vote in your interest, not special interest.

Like all of you, he loves FL HD 75 - Charlotte County and calls it "Living The Dream" and he is invested in seeing it thrive! After elected, David will donate salary, after expenses, for fairness and justice for all!

David is a retired 33 yearTeamster member spending many of those years as a shop steward and representing workers. He wrote many grievances and negotiated them to the benefit of both the companies and the workers. The negotiations were fair and benefitted both the worker and the company. David negotiated contracts and some organizing. He is pro-labor and pro-business believing common ground can always be found if greed and selfishness are set aside by both parties.

David Jones will work for FL HD 75 best interest, not special interest.
  • STRONG ENVIRONMENTALIST: David Jones will fight to:Protect air, waterways, coastal integrity, beaches & land resources. Oppose onshore & offshore drilling and fracking. Follow the Science. To move towards using alternative energy sources such as solar, wind, and tidal technology. As the Sunshine State, we need better comprehensive planning in our communities like solar, wind, tidal technology. This would bring more high paying jobs to HD FL75 - Charlotte County(not China). Charlotte County's future economy, our tourism & businesses depend on our environment. Clean water, the health of our environment, our families, and our economy are all connected. I don't accept contributions from companies that contribute to environmental injustice.
  • HEALTHCARE: David Jones will fight to: Expand Medicaid - Medicaid is especially crucial during economic downturns, enabling people to access coverage and care in times of financial hardship. Lower or eliminate supplemental insurance on Medicare by reducing prescription drug costs. Protect Essential Workers. Support Seniors, Our at-risk, Working populations, Protect Residents of Long Term Facilities with action. Supporting effective & adequate treatment of our Veterans. Pandemic preparedness and responsivity- COVID-19 has completely changed the way we live. Prioritizing healthcare, advocating testing, & economic relief for people of HD 75. Fight for People with Pre-existing Conditions to ensure they will not be charged more for insurance.
  • PRESCRIPTION DRUG COSTS- David Jones will fight to: Lower prescription drug costs. For Families already struggling to afford care. The extra financial hit of COVID-19 will mean many will struggle to afford their medication. Lowering Prescription Drug Costs can equal ending or reducing supplemental Medicare Insurance. We need to make sure our Elected Officials do not take contributions from drug makers, so they can vote to reduce prescription drug costs. David Jones does not accept any contributions from big drug makers.
Environmental:

David Jones will fight to incentivize Florida House of Representatives District 75, Charlotte County to reduce Carbon, Phosphates, and Nitrates. I am on record stating that the first bill I introduce will be Environmental Protections for the Peace River and Charlotte Harbor.

David Jones does not accept any contributions from companies or lobbyists that contribute to Enviromental Injustice.
