David L. Cavender

David L. Cavender is the former chief judge of the Atlantic Circuit of Georgia. He was re-elected in 2012 for a term that expiring in 2016.[1] On January 13, 2016, Cavender announced his retirement from the court, effective February 1, 2016.[2]
Education
Cavender received his B.A. from Georgia Southern College, and his J.D. from the University of Georgia Law School in 1982.[3]

Cavender ran unopposed for re-election to the Atlantic Superior Court.[4] He was re-elected after receiving 99.7 percent of the vote in the July 31 election.[1]
