David L. Chidester was a judge for the Porter County Superior Court in Indiana. He was first elected to the court in 2003.[1] He was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that expired on December 31, 2020.[2]

Chidester is married to Judge Mary R. Harper.[1]

Chidester received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University.[1]

Prior to serving on the court, Chidester was a public defender.[1]
