David L. Dickinson (Georgia)
David L. Dickinson is a judge of the Bell-Forsyth Circuit of Georgia.[1] He was first appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue in 2003.
Education
Dickinson received his B.A. in economics from Mercer University and his J.D. from Thomas. M. Cooley School of Law.[2]
Career
Prior to becoming a Superior Court judge, Dickinson was a chief state court judge for Forsyth County. Prior to that, he was the assistant state attorney for the 19th Judicial Circuit of Florida. He practiced law as a private attorney for a time with the firm Lipscomb, Johnson & Ashway. Eventually, he co-founded Hamil and Dickinson, then became a partner with Miles, Reese & McGoff.[3]
2012 election
Dickinson ran unopposed for re-election to the Bell-Forsyth Superior Court.[4] He was re-elected after receiving 99.7 percent of the vote in the July 31 election.[5]
