David L. Hall (North Carolina)
David L. Hall (Republican Party) is a judge for District 31B of the North Carolina 4th Superior Court Division. He assumed office on January 1, 2024. His current term ends on December 31, 2028.
Hall (Republican Party) ran for re-election for the Judicial District 21B judge of the North Carolina 4th Superior Court Division. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Hall was previously a superior court judge for the Fifth Division of the Superior Court. In 2018, the North Carolina General Assembly passed House Bill 717, revising the state superior court. Hall's seat on the Fifth Division was absorbed into the Fourth Division.
Education
Hall received his B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1986 and his J.D. degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1990.[1]
Career
Hall began his career in 1990 at the law firm of Hutchins, Tyndall, Doughton & Moore. He became a partner of that firm in 1995. The following year, he left private practice to become an Assistant District Attorney. He first served in the 22nd Prosecutorial District, but moved to the 21st District in late 1997. In 2012, he was elected a Superior Court judge.[1]

The Republican primary election was canceled. Incumbent David L. Hall advanced from the Republican primary for North Carolina 4th Superior Court Division Judicial District 21B.
2012
Hall was elected to the Superior Court without opposition on Nov. 6, 2012, due to Carl F. Parrish's withdrawal from the race.[2][3]
