David Lobato was a judge for the Pueblo County Court in Colorado. Lobato was appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper on February 7, 2012, to replace retired Judge Ernest J. Ruybalid.[1] He retired from the court on July 1, 2021.[2]

2014

Lobato was retained to the Pueblo County Court, Colorado with 72.0 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3] 

Judicial performance evaluation

The Colorado Commissions on Judicial Performance recommended that Judge Lobato be Retained. The full report is available here.

Education

Lobato received his bachelor's degree from the College of Santa Fe and his J.D. degree from the University of Colorado in 1994.[1]

Career

Lobato began his career as a public defender in Colorado Springs. In January of 1995, he transferred to the Pueblo County Public Defender's Office, where he served until his judicial appointment in February of 2012.[1]
