David Luna
David Luna was a member of the Mesa City Council in Arizona, representing District 5. Luna assumed office in 2013. Luna left office on January 4, 2023.
Luna won re-election to the Mesa City Council to represent District 5 in Arizona outright in the primary on August 28, 2018, after the general election was canceled.
Luna was appointed to the council in September 2013 to serve a partial term. He won election to a full term on August 26, 2014.[1]

Elections for the city council of Mesa, Arizona were scheduled to take place on November 4, 2014. A primary election took place on August 26, 2014. Because one candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote in the District 5 primary, the general election was called off. Incumbent David Luna defeated Robert Cluff.[2][3]
