David Matlock is a judge serving the Caddo Parish Juvenile Court in Louisiana.[1] He joined the court in November 1994 and his current term expires on December 31, 2020.[2]

Education

Matlock received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and his J.D. from Baylor University School of Law.[3][4]

Career

Judge Matlock was elected to the Caddo Parish Juvenile Court in 1994 and in 1999 he became the court's chief judge. He was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1981.[4]

2012 election

Matlock ran for a seat on the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal. He was defeated by Frances Pitman in the general election on November 6, receiving 46.26 percent of the vote.[5][6]
