David McGirr was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 22 of the South Dakota House of Representatives.

McGirr ran in the 2012 election for South Dakota House of Representatives District 22. McGirr was defeated by Jay B.K. Slater and Dick Werner in the Republican primary on June 5. Dale Hargens and incumbent Peggy Anne Gibson defeated Doug Kazmerzak in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012. Incumbent Jim White (R) did not run for re-election.[1][2]
