David E. Meyer was a district court judge for the King County South Division District Court in King County, Washington. He was elected in 2010, effective in January 2011.[1] He was later re-elected by voters in 2014, winning a four-year term that expired on January 6, 2019.[2] [3] Meyer did not run for re-election in 2018 and retired at the end of his term on January 6, 2019.[4]

Meyer ran for election to the King County South Division District Court in 2010 and won. He defeated incumbent Darrell E. Phillipson. The candidates sought to fill Position 2.[5]

Education

Meyer received a B.A. in political science from the University of Washington in 1975, going on to earn his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 1983.[6]

Career

He also served as a judge pro tem in the district court and as an arbitrator in the King County Superior Court.[6]
