  • Pro-LIFE

    Life begins at conception

Rights to Life, Liberty, & the pursuit of happiness. Without LIFE there is no LIBERTY and happiness is moot!
  • MEDICAL FREEDOM Each person is an individual, therefore, medical choices need to be flexible to accommodate citizens' LIFE, LIBERTY, & pursuit of HAPPINESS.
  • LAW & ORDER We need to ensure that grant money for law enforcement gets spent on improvements to local law enforcement agencies & not get recycled into the general budget after they haven't been used in the law enforcement budget.
Fiscal Conservatism

Taxes can cost citizens so much, it's important to ensure that each dollar is spent where it is intended to go. This will ensure that each tax dollar serves the community better.

When tax and grant dollars are not spent at the end of a fiscal cycle, the unused money reverts the the general fund. Dollars are not always used for their originally intended purpose.

Some granting agencies use this "loop hole" to drive policies and local citizens are not always properly served by those "driven policies."
Answering that George Washington sounds like a cop out, Abraham Lincoln does, too. There's a lot of lore surrounding these two men, but their supposed integrity to serve the people's and nation's interests drove the ideals that forged this nation's soul. People are not surprised to hear about elected officials serving their own interests; but the ones who left a mark of distinction are perceived as holding to people's interests above their own. Lincoln even died trying to make the world a better place. Ghandi, Jesus, and MLK Jr., also died trying to make this world a better place. I'd like to make my little slice of this world a better place.
Mark Levin wrote "American Marxism.". This book describes the dangers of modern Communism; how to recognize it; and strategies common, everyday citizens can fight today's Progressive-Communist movement.
Integrity, diligence, and passion.

There are not always checks and balances to ensure that elected officials ensure that constituents' interests are at the center of government's decision making.

Diligence is required to ensure that no is not the final answer when an elected official attempts to push legislation that serves the people's best interests.

Officials should be passionate about the being the change their constituents deserve.
I possess persistence to keep on despite the approaching darkness. The passion to accomplish a job well done, and a heart for the people to be a part of leaving a better world to our children.
A State Representative should stay in touch with the needs of their constituents and vote on new legislation or amendments accordingly to better serve the interest of the people.

A State Representative needs to hold other elected officials' feet to the fire to mold a new reality in the the State House.

Sometimes, bureaucracy can form roadblocks that obstruct constituents' pursuit of happiness. State Representatives should act as an arbiter on their constituents' behalf to unclog these roadblocks.
I would hope that bring about more accountability to our state government and it's elected officials, such that going forward Ohio becomes a greater state than it has ever been before.
I remember the Watergate scandal. I was in grade school. It was ingrained in me then that elected officials MUST be people if integrity and seek to serve the people, not themselves.
Cutting & boxing cabbage. Loading bags and boxes of vegetables onto trucks for market. I was 16, the work was hard and the days were long (in the summer, 6 days a week). It paid $3.35 per hours and we got no overtime.
A trilogy, Lord of the Rings. It dwells on the failing integrity of mankind, yet the world is maid a better place because of a persistent and virtuous few, who despite the temptation of power.
Filling in this blank may empower my opposition, so, I'd prefer to leave it unanswered.
The Legislature should not be in complete lock-step with the Governor. Each issue should be weighted properly to ensure is serves the best interests of the people, and not serve the best interests of the party or governor above the people.
I expect that Ohioans' tax money will be overwhelmed by housing, feeding, educating, and healthcare costs when dealing with the current president's border policy. This is an issue that with not be simply remedied by a "changing of the guard." We need to get ahead of the crisis before it gets worse that Ohioans can handle.
I believe it was political commentator, Will Rodgers who said, "Politician and diapers need to be changed often, and fir the same reason."

State Representatives can become "acclimatized" by Columbus and they can lose their way when they're suppose to be safeguarding the needs, rights, and interests if their constituents.
Failing to build and utilize relationships with other legislators can prevent a well intended Representative from accomplishing goals that serve the people's interests.
John Adams, even after serving as president, Adams continued to serve his people in Congress to further mold the pathway fir a new nation. Today, we are enjoying the fruits of his sacrifices.
I am interest in making Ohio great. Ohio was always be one of our nation greatest states, but the competition to be the best is always hotly contested. We need to keep reinventing our state to keep it great.
I heard that in another state, a married couple was denied an adoption because of the Catholic convictions. Many of our ancestors came to this country in pursuit of their happiness in the for of Religious Freedom. I would hate to see Ohio join the growing ranks of US States that are abandoning the core value which has my the US a "Gleaming City, on a Hill," that Ronald Reagan talked about.
I'd like to die like my grandfather, peacefully and in my sleep; and not kicking and screaming, like the other people who were in his car at the time.
Emergencies come without much (or, even no) warning. The House is a committee, historically, committees can take a long time to reach a decision. Sometimes, the decision from a committee are far off the mark when correcting a problem, once that decision is made. For instance, my grandfather used to say, A camel is a horse designed by a committee." If you're lucky it make work as intended, but chances are it will be more trouble than it's worth."

The governor can be granted powers sparingly, and the committee that grants the powers should be ready, willing, and able to remove those powers the instant the governor becomes dangerous.
An amendment to ensure that all state grants going to local governments meet the same reporting, checks, and balances to which all other grants are held.
So, far, the Ohio State Republican Central Committee
Any committee which reviews proposed legislation before it goes to the House for a vote. Any committee that deals with tax and grant money going to municipalities in the State if Ohio.
How a State Representative votes has always been available to the public, but not all citizens know where to find the information. Many people just listen to what news casters say and these citizens aren't always aware of "the whole truth." State Representatives should make available to the public their reasoning for each and every vote and decision. That justification should be easily and readily available to constituents.

-Pro 1st Amendment: promote free speech, --Pro religious freedom.

Pro 2nd Amendment.
-Fully fund our police and first responders
-Deny government interference with your right to choose a vaccine or any medical procedures.

-Pro jobs for Ohioans.
John Adams, Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan, Winston Churchill, Dwight Eisenhower.

These individuals overcame adversaries and managed to remain calm and focused in the face of terror and despair.
American Marxism by Mark Lavin.
It points out where modern legislatures are likely lead thus country into a totalitarian socialist nightmare against the will of the American people.
Fair knowledge of the current issues; a willingness to hear all sides of the issues; some compassion for those who will be affected by new legislation; and a desire to do what is right for the people.
I'm aproachable; diligent, reliable, honest, compassionate, able to relate to many differing points of view, understanding, able to quickly grasp simple as well as complex concepts, able to multi-task or focus as need be.
-Due diligence to ensure that all angles have been considered.

-Keep in touch with the needs of contituents.
-Recognize the times to dig in and those times it is not time to fight.

-Keep heart felt desire to hear from constituents and expedite matters on their behalf when the system is not functioning properly.
I would like to leave behind a world that is better than the one I was born into.
Farm hand harvesting cucumbers and cabbage.
A Brief History of Time
I can often tell the truth in a way that others find uncomfortable
All must be interested in what's good for the people of their state.
This state is suffering from a law that paralyzed the authorities to determine the composition of the state's districts. Some amendment(s) need to be made so this fiasco can be avoided in the future.
Ideally, unicameral implies that agreement in the legislature will efficiently lead to legislation passing quickly.

The great concern is that legislation will not agree with the citizens.

Fortunately, the Republican party is so fragmented that unicameralism is not a danger with Ohio. The Democrats are a much different story where unicameralism will likely lead to more unpopular policies and laws.
Well, if the experience leads legislators becoming part of a big political machine, then cirizen-candidates may dislodged some of the deep-staters within the system.
Of course the answer is yes. There are 99 state reps and 33 state senators. No one has the power to demand anything. Each vote counts.
There should be more to enacting lock downs and mandates, such that no one individual can assume some level of dictatorial power over the entire state without some checks and balances.
I'd like to take part in a committee that determines if companies met the agreed requirements to earn their tax incentives.
If the state government grants an incentive to a firm; then it is in the peoples' interest that job growth for the people should be the return on the peoples' investment.
Alfonse D'amato was focused on defending the jobs for New York State's citizens. He filibustered to draw attention to the US Government's failure to protect American companies and workers against China's unlawful business practices. Many Chinese companies were found guilty, fined, and fines were never collected. New York base manufacturers closed up as a result of the Chinese companies violating US trade laws.
I'm not looking for other plateaus; I'm just concerned about this, my home state of Ohio... the Heart-shaped land of the Heartland.
Parma City School system has a regulation to follow state authorized programs. On the surface that sounds good. However, when the Ohio Department of Education goes 'woke' then Parma City Schools will follow. I hope to stop that train wreck before it even happens.
I want to die peacefully and in my sleep, like my grandfather did; and not go kicking and screaming like the 4 other people who were in his car at that time.
Right now this is a big issue for Republican voters in Ohio. Emergency powers should never allow the government to run rough shod over the peoples' rights.
Agreement is always preferable to chaos; however, one's central principles should not be compromised.
