David Morris (Charlotte County School Board candidate)
David Morris was a candidate for the District 5 seat on the Charlotte County Public Schools Board of Education in Florida. Morris was defeated in the by-district primary election on August 30, 2016.
Biography
Morris works as a licensed real estate professional and a customer service worker. He has also volunteered at Fawcett Memorial Hospital. Morris graduated from Punta Gorda Middle School in 2006 and Port Charlotte High School in 2010.[1]

Two of the five seats on the Charlotte County Public Schools Board of Education were up for by-district primary election on August 30, 2016. Kim Amontree defeated fellow newcomers Robert Dolar and Joseph Williams for the District 2 seat. Wendy Atkinson won the District 5 seat in the primary against David Morris.[2] The District 3 seat was originally set to be on the ballot, but when incumbent Bob Segur was unopposed in his bid for re-election at the passing of the filing deadline, the election for the seat was canceled and Segur was automatically re-elected.
