Nesbett was appointed to the court on March 21, 2019, by Gov. Mike Dunleavy (R) to replace Gregory Motyka.[1]

Nesbett received his undergraduate education from the Wesleyan University College of Letters and his J.D. from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law.[2]
