|My vision is to implement forward-thinking solutions that enhance our water quality. I aim to remove Fluoride from our water supply due to its potential long-term health risks, replace chlorine with UV Technology for a more effective and safer water treatment, and advocate for RO Filtration Systems for Flint Residents to ensure lead-free drinking water.
Additionally, I support the installation of a roadway sprinkler system to use warm water to combat snow and ice during winter. Doing so will extend the life of our roads which are treated harshly due to salt treatments and the scrapping of snowplows.
These initiatives are essential for protecting public health and providing peace of mind to our community.
What sets me apart in this race is my unwavering commitment to safety and quality. I am not just a candidate; I am a problem solver with a practical approach to tackling complex issues. My dedication to removing harmful substances from our water and advocating for modern, effective filtration systems demonstrates my proactive stance on public health.
Together, we can build a safer, healthier future for Genesee County.- Remove Fluoride from our water supply. Fluoride is an industrial waste made from the manufacturing of aluminum products, especially for military contracts. While small dosages do harden enamel which can prevent cavities, exposure to fluoridated water can cause complications over the long term.
- Replace Chlorine with Ultra Violet Treatments. Chlorine is concentrated bleach. While chlorine treatment kills bacteria in our water filtration system and then removed in the tanks during backwash cycle at the waste water management plant, chlorine is still making its way into our faucets which is why our faucets smell like bleach at times. A better 21st Century solution this problem is Ultra Violet Treatments which neutralizes bacteria rendering them harmless and covers more harmful agents than chlorine can kill.
- Reverse Osmosis (RO) Filtration Systems for Flint Residents. Even though Flint has its own Waste Water Treatment Plant separate from Genesee County, the Office of Drain Commissioner is responsible for doing what he/she can to provide clean drinking water to Genesee County residents. A decade after the Flint Water Crisis, Lead levels are back up at .9 ppb (CDC Guidelines at 15 ppb max), even after replacing most of the lead pipes with copper pipes. RO or Reverse Osmosis Water Filters remove up to 99.1% of lead. Either through the use of county funds or if I must use the office of Drain Commissioner as a bully pulpit to get the community involved in supporting a mileage, every homeowner that cannot afford it should have RO Filtration Systems
Regarding modern political figures, I greatly admire Howard Phillips, Ron Paul, and Pat Buchanan. These men are great men, in my book. My greatest disappointment in the public arena of politics is that they never combined to lead a singular political movement.
