Biography
Bowles earned his B.S. in police administration, magna cum laude, from the University of Louisville and a J.D. from the Brandeis School of Law. His professional experience includes working as a lieutenant in the Jefferson County Police Department.[1]

Qualifications
To serve on this court, a judge must be:[5]
- a U.S. citizen;
- a resident of the represented district for at least two years; and
- licensed to practice law for at least two years.
