David P. Foster (Missouri)
David Foster was an at-large member of the St. Joseph School District Board of Education in Missouri. He assumed office on April 19, 2021. He left office on April 15, 2024.
Foster ran for election for an at-large seat of the St. Joseph School District Board of Education in Missouri. He won in the general election on April 6, 2021.
In April 2022, Foster was elected as the school board's president.[1] He did not seek re-election for the 2024 school board election.[2]
Biography
Foster named and supported the 61-cent tax levy campaign, proposition R.E.A.D., which stands for Reinvesting in Education Academics and Dedication.[3] He was also involved in launching I.D.E.A. Mentoring. The program involves community leaders mentoring students in the Saint Joseph School District.[4] In 2024 Foster was recognized as a distinguished certified board member.[5]
